Staff Members

Dr. Sven was born and raised in Brighton Park Chicago. He has both a brother and a sister. His father practiced dentistry out of the lower level of their family home. Sven attended the University of Illinois at the medical center in Chicago and went on to graduating in 1968.
On January 29th of 1969, he began his own practice in Antioch Illinois. His practice is quite family based and over the years he has employed many relatives.
Sven enjoys travel, skiing with his family, gardening, and riding his road bicycle.       

Dr. Blocki went to Northwestern University Dental School. He completed graduation and began his career as a dentist in 1981. Throughout his time in the dental field he has owned a practice in Arlington Heights, and worked at a variety of other offices. Blocki also has experience as a professor. He taught science at St. Viator from 2002-2006, and nutrition at Oakton community college from 1992-2006. He enjoys swimming and eating healthy foods.     

Dr. Johnson has been with the practice since 1988. He graduated from University of Illinois and began his dental career in 1985. When not doing dentistry, he can sometimes been seen doing laps in a race car. His alias on the track is Dr. 2th. 

Alex is a really great guy. He is able to make patients feel comfortable while they receive their cleanings. After serving in the Navy, he completed the College of Lake County hygiene program and became a full time hygienist at the practice in 2004. He is the father of two wonderful children. Alex loves baseball and attends Lake County Sidewinders games with his son on a regular basis.

Vicky attended the College of Lake County hygiene program and began  cleaning teeth shortly after. She started her career at Antioch Dental Center as an assistant in 1997.  She is the mother of two boys, both of which she loves dearly. She has a great sense of humor and is friendly and fun to be around. 

Cissy is the office manager. She is also the daughter of Dr. Sven. She has been working at the practice since high school, and is part of the American Association of Dental Office Managers (AADOM). She is also a member of the National Association of Professional Women (NAPW). Throughout her career, Cissy has done nearly everything that could be done in a dental center. She currently manages the office, and provides  answers to patients over the phone and in person.

Shelly is Antioch Dental Center's main assistant. She mostly works along side Dr. Sven, while also making sure that all materials are stocked and ready. Shelly is a member of NAPW, and AADOM as well. Her experience in the dental field began over twenty years ago. She is extremely helpful and always willing to help make things run as smooth as possible.
